Even though we are an animal rescue organization we are running the city's animal shelter. Space can never run out when Animal Control comes with a wandering dog. If space runs out we have to figure out what to do with the dogs. Killing is not an option. We have to be creative. It's been years since we've killed to make room, but there are times when it would be nice that when a dog gets adopted two more don't come in to take its place. But that's the reality of a shelter. One out, two in, the revolving door.
